I have seen the blessings of Malachi fulfilled in my life over and over again. It may not be monetary blessings, sometimes it comes in the form of knowing how to wisely use what we already have but either way I am amazed how simple a law and yet how many great things come into my life for it. One blessing is being able to attend the temple and participate in all the ordinances there, for me I think the temple is worth it alone. I love this gospel! God bless you Ramona and thanks for always being a good example to me.Aliciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13505403758580459943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2967804250686265830.post-43085848778868763132011-05-11T15:37:35.331-04:002011-05-11T15:37:35.331-04:00You have so much faith. And what I love about you ...You have so much faith. And what I love about you is that you acknowledge the Lord's hand in your daily life. I love this post. I think the beautiful thing about tithing is that we don't just have to tithe our money - we can give of our time, our service, our energies to build the Lord's Kingdom. Just as you said, tithing helps us to prioritize and discipline ourselves. Disciples of Christ discipline themselves in every area of their lives, especially when it comes to earthly possessions and gain. It keeps us humble - protects us from the great sin of pride. The first and great commandment is to love God with all our heart, might, mind, and strength (and with all we possess!) If we follow that commandment, all others fall into place.

You are so inspiring. Thanks for writing your thoughts, ...Very nice post. Thanks for writing your thoughts, I enjoy reading them. I have been thinking a lot about tithing lately, too. We have always paid our tithing (although sometimes we are late - not because we spend the money, but just because we forget to give the check to the bishop on Sunday) and we have actually talked about that and we will probably start paying out tithing with a money order or cash - so that we can immediately remove it from our earnings.

I also liked when you said this:
"What is an honest tithe? I believe that an honest tithe is when you purpose in your heart to give, and when we ask in prayer for guidance we will receive it"

I really think that a lot of the time we put tithing on "auto pilot" and don't really think so much about it. But the purpose is really important for us to think about why we are giving 10%, what we believe about giving that 10%, and really have purpose in our heart when giving it.

Thanks again for your post. Got me thinking. That's always good :)Beccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01667724269493668949noreply@blogger.com
