PRAYED UP

CODY F MILLER: Daniel
Isaiah 54:16-18 (Amplified Bible (AMP)

16Behold, I have created the smith who blows on the fire of coals and who produces a weapon for its purpose; and I have created the devastator to destroy.
17But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.
Every now and again, we believers find ourselves targeted in spiritual crossfire. It must needs be as our Brother Nephi so eloquently counsels. But sometimes, the heat so to speak is turned up a notch.
Ephesians 6:12

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places
This a post about my husband P. Most of the time he is comic relief in my post, but not today. So last week  P. slipped and fell at work, bumping his head, losing consciousness, waking up, getting in his rig and driving back to his work place. I know that quite a few people have accidents at work with various outcomes.
Here's is what happened according to "eye witness's" at the gas station:
  • P. was walking across a wet floor, that did not have any signs posted (OSHA violation), to warn of danger. He did a full body slip and fall, and bang his head on the floor. He did not get up, he lay on the floor for almost 15mins. No one called 911.
  • Another "eye witness" said that they "thought he was dead", so they did not call 911.
  • Again a 3rd "eye witness said that after my husband had lain on the floor, very still, he got up with no help and walked out of the store. They said that he got into his big rig, and drove off." He did however return to ask if he had paid for his gas and also ask if he had left his wallet, which was still in his hand."
I called my husband about the time he had left the building. He told me that he had slipped and fell at the gas station. He was very coherent, but dazed. He said he thought he lost his wallet. So he turned his truck around and went back. I prayed to Heavenly Father that He would please help my husband.

So I spoke with P. at least 5-6 times before he got back to his shop, and each time he said the same things. " Boy, I took a bad spill, that was really bad, I haven't fell like that since I was younger, oh I think I lost my wallet", to which I would tell him that his wallet was in his bag.
When P. got home, he had a big knot on the back of his head, which was hard to find, because his head is knotty any way.:)
He told me what happened and it matches what the 3 witness's said. But what really happened? Why didn't any one call 911, or shake him or yell at him to see if he would respond? How did he regain consciousness to get up and walk and drive like that?
I asked the question, that in the event that there is no "Good Samaritan" available to "help", does God send angels? A perfectly logical question. Does He reach out and touch?
Now here is the good part, my husband is the "Good Samaritan". After he left another truck driver came in and slipped on the same wet floor. I know its just so unbelievable that maybe the "witness's who worked there, would put out a  "Wet Floor"sign or even a rug down. This man fell into a wire shelf and injured his eye. This time 911 was called, and they finally told them about my husband.

So my husband is doing fine, the headaches are gone, his doctor pronounced him well. He went back to the station and found the 2nd injured mans wife there, trying to find out what happened. The 3 witness's refused to talk to her and they tried to "throw" her off the property. My husband stopped to talk to her and told her everything he knew and gave her a card for his lawyers and his phone number if she needed anything. The lady and her husband had just moved here and started a new job, she is 9 months pregnant and all of that.

Maybe my husband arrived to early, maybe he was supposed to find the 2nd guy and help him out. Either way the Lord will work it out in ways that are mysterious to us.

What I have learned from this is that we need to prayer, stretch out our hearts and souls in prayer to Heavenly Father, every day. Out thoughts should always be on Him. We need to be "prayed up" as it were.
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble

Wow. What a story. It does sound like there is some ove-arching purpose that it will serve. It sounds like you'll just have to watch for further developments.
